Six Paths Warrant Location - Outlaw Warblade Upgrade

What the Six Paths Warrant Is

The Six Paths Warrant is the Soul Tempering material for the Outlaw Warblade, one of Phantom Blade Zero’s most enduring early weapons. Tempering with the warrant — plus 5,000 Remnant Dust — unlocks Ruthless Outlaw, an ability that scales your damage with the amount of recoverable HP you have. The catch: the warrant sits behind one of the game’s mist barriers, so the real quest is repairing the Illusory Pipa first.

Step 1: Find the Three Illusory Pipa Parts

The Pipa has been shattered into three pieces, each held by a boss:

The Village of Lu and Ruined Theater bosses are missable — explore thoroughly. The Ruined Theater fight is against Yan Qiansui, the Zither Maiden, one of the trickier hidden encounters at launch. The Mandate’s Encampment boss is mandatory on the route documented in the Puppet Tongue Key walkthrough.

Step 2: Repair the Pipa with Myst

Carry all three parts to Myst at the Pangzhen tavern. She repairs the Pipa into a usable Phantom Edge — press R2 to activate it — and its ability clears the mists blocking areas across the map. This single repair unlocks multiple hunts at once: the warrant, the Iron Butcher Mask in the Mountain of Imprisonment, and progress toward the Perfect Ending.

Step 3: Return to the Meigu Songhouse Dock Bell

Travel back to Meigu Lake and the Meigu Songhouse Dock Bell — the same arena where you fought Yan Qiansui for the Pipa’s Strings.

1. Face the mist-shrouded doorway at the back of the arena.
2. Press R2 to play the Pipa and clear the mist.
3. Head through and go left, skirting along the wall.
4. Follow the wall around until you spot a glowing item on the ground.

That glowing item is the Six Paths Warrant.

Step 4: Temper the Outlaw Warblade

With the warrant and 5,000 Remnant Dust, temper the Outlaw Warblade at any Bell. The Ruthless Outlaw ability turns the sword into a snowball weapon: play aggressively, heal through its health-steal identity, and watch your damage climb.

Why This Hunt Is Worth the Detour

The Pipa repair chain feeding this hunt is one of the highest-value side activities at launch:

• Ruthless Outlaw — a top-tier endgame weapon ability.
• Mountain of Imprisonment access — the same mist-clearing Pipa opens the Iron Butcher fight and its mask for the Jagged Steel.
• Perfect Ending progress — the Pipa and the mist areas it opens are on the true ending route.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get the Six Paths Warrant before endgame? Yes — all three Pipa parts are reachable mid-campaign if you chase hidden bosses and the Mandate’s Encampment chain. There is no point-of-no-return lock on the material.

What if the mist doorway does nothing? You are using the wrong doorway. Use the one at the back of the Songhouse Dock arena, not the second mist-shrouded doorway in the same area.
